More freedom.
Less fear.
Would you like to board a flight, attend a dental appointment or have a needle without the fear taking over?
You may know what you want to do, yet still feel an automatic reaction holding you back. We can explore that response together and work towards feeling calmer and more able to choose.
Fears and phobias hypnotherapy with Michelle Davidson.
What would being less afraid make possible?
A holiday you can look forward to. An appointment you can keep. Feeling more comfortable around a dog. Your goal can be something practical and personal.
Tara's video shares one person's experience. Your response and the number of sessions you need may be different.
Help with the situations you've been avoiding.
You don't need to know the name of your phobia. Tell me what happens, what you avoid and what you'd like to be able to do.
Fear of flying
Whether it's booking a trip, boarding, take-off or turbulence, we can focus on the parts of flying that feel difficult and what you'd like to experience instead.
Needle phobia
If vaccinations, blood tests or needles bring on fear, we can work towards approaching those appointments with greater calm and confidence.
Dental anxiety and fear of the dentist
Work towards feeling more comfortable with dental visits and procedures. If gagging makes appointments difficult, tell me about that too so we can discuss whether I can help.
Fear of dogs
Explore the fear response and work towards feeling more comfortable around dogs, with your boundaries and pace respected.
Other specific fears
Heights, enclosed spaces, spiders or another situation may be limiting your choices. You're welcome to ask about your particular fear.
Worry before the event
Sometimes anticipating an appointment or trip feels as difficult as the event itself. We can include that worry in what we work on together.
A practical, personal approach.
I'm Michelle Davidson, the practitioner behind On Target Hypnotherapy. I've been helping people change patterns that hold them back since 2012.
My work with fears has included supporting a client through vaccination appointments, helping a client who struggled with gagging to have a dental impression taken, and working with a child who was frightened of dogs.
Each person and situation is different. We start with what matters to you and shape the session around your needs.

A few common questions
Can a phobia change in one session?
Some clients have experienced a change in one session, while others need more time. I can't promise a particular result or number of sessions. We'll discuss your situation and review your progress.
Will I have to confront my fear during the session?
We will discuss the approach with you first. You can tell me what feels manageable, and any practical steps are agreed together.
Can I have a session online?
I offer online sessions as well as in-person appointments on the Sunshine Coast. We can discuss which option suits your situation.
How much does it cost?
Contact me to discuss your needs. I'll explain the session options and fees before you decide to book.
What would you like to feel more comfortable doing?
Tell me a little about your fear and we can discuss whether hypnotherapy might be a good fit. In-person appointments on the Sunshine Coast and online sessions are available.
